Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

Kyle (Michael Mealor) informed his parents that he was taking off for Los Angeles to try to reconnect with Claire (Hayley Erin). Of course, Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman) revved up the reliable parent helicopter and gently pointed out to their son why this might not be the best move. Jack and Diane have all the good intentions in the world, but they might want to consider letting their grown adult son start to make some of his own decisions without any guidance. We scratched our heads when Kyle admitted to Jack and Diane that he may have gone too far by proposing to Claire and offering to take her to Paris. Right. Because women just loathe marriage proposals from rich executives, who have romantic streaks in them. The Young and the Restless younger leading man also admitted that he didn't handle the Audra (Zuleyka Silver) situation correctly, but how else should he have handled it? Audra was zeroing in on Kyle in France, and she was determined to do Victor's (Eric Braeden) bidding so that he would fund Vibrante. In the end, Kyle even won respect (or as close as one can get to that) from Victor, who backed off from trying to break them up. Kyle has a history of doing what he thinks is best (remember when he -- gasp! -- bought Lola, played by Sasha Calle, an expense purse? The audacity!) and getting the doors slammed in his face. He's going to take a plane to Los Angeles, but if they're all booked, he could always borrow his parents' helicopter.
