Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

The Abbotts may not be feeling better after Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally's (Courtney Hope) launch party for Abbott Communications, thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). However, in the words of Billy Crystal's Fernando Lamas, "it is better to look good than to feel good!" Daytime Emmy-nominated costumer Mandi Line has done it again, decking out the Y&R cast in fabulous wardrobe, befitting the event's occasion. In this case, as Sally pointed out, the Abbott Communications launch party theme was based on "the dawn of TV," hence the retro fashions everyone wore. From Kyle's (Michael Mealor) 1950s white t-shirt, jeans, and red jacket look that appeared to come right out of "Rebel Without a Cause" or "Happy Days" to the glamorous movie star dresses worn by Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Sally (move over Veronica Lake!) to Jack's "timeless" white dinner jacket that would have fit right in at Rick's Place ("Casablanca"), everyone looked smashing and celebratory! Line was tasked with not only dressing the series regulars, but also a good number of background artists to help flesh out the party-goers. At times like this, we wish that "Restless Style," the magazine helmed by Jack (Peter Bergman), Sharon (Sharon Case), Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), was still around. Think of the fashion spread that "Restless Style" could have done on the party arrivals alone!
