Tamara Braun previews her The Young and the Restless character, Sienna Bacall

One of Daytime TV's most respected actresses, Tamara Braun, is set to make her debut on The Young and the Restless on Tuesday as Sienna Bacall. The actress is giving a preview as to what viewers can expect from her "badass" character and her connection to Noah Newman.

Braun revealed to TV Insider that the week before she was supposed to start taping, she came down with COVID. Fortunately, she recovered and didn't miss a day of work!

"I’ve been there a month now and I’m finally starting to feel like I understand the flow at Y&R,” Braun said. She likened starting a new job to going to a family's house for the holidays. It may take a moment to feel at home, but then, it all kicks in, and you're one of the gang!

Braun was reunited with folks from behind the camera (including producer Jill Farren Phelps, who helmed General Hospital when Braun played Carly) and Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) from their days on All My Children. Braun played Reese on the ABC serial while Egan played Annie. This Y&R role also reunites Braun with Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp, Days of our Lives), her former TV son, who is now Y&R's Noah. "He’s a lovely actor and an incredible gem of a human being,” Braun says.

Watch for Braun to share screen time with Roger Howarth (ex-Austin/ex-Franco, GH) and Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin, GH). While Cohen's character, Detective Burrow, has been revealed, it's still a mystery as to who Howarth is playing.

For her first few weeks, Braun worked with Hayley Erin (Claire) and Nathan Owens (Holden). "We had a lot of fun working and laughing together," Braun said. "Lots of laughter. And that’s so good for the soul.”

Braun describes Sienna as a woman who is "super cool" person who runs a club in Los Angeles. "I like that she’s strong, a bit intense, and I feel like there will be so much revealed about her that even I don’t necessarily know lives within her," Braun muses. "She’s got a history, and I think it’s juicy."
