The Chair Company cast and character guide
The first episode of The Chair Company introduced us to new characters and a new story. It showed Ron Trosper, who has been the managing head of a new project at his company. After he gives a speech about this new project, and is about to sit down, the chair malfunctions, and he falls on the ground. This is an embarrassing moment for Ron, one he takes very seriously and tries to reach the chair company, Tecca, so that he can address the malfunction issue.
The show features Tim Robinson as William Ronald Trosper, the protagonist of the show, who works at a company that builds malls. He has just been made Project Head and is excited to take up that role. Robinson is also known for playing various characters in I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, voicing Swooper in Digman! and playing Tim Cramblin in Detroiters.
Lake Bell stars as Barb Trosper, Ron's supportive wife, who is also known for playing Charlie in Under Still Waters, Sally Heep in Boston Legal, and Rio Levine-Young in Bless This Mess. Sophia Lillis stars as Natalie Trosper, Ron's daughter, and Ron is making a slideshow he wants to present at her wedding. Lillis is also known for playing Beverly Marsh in It and It Chapter Two and Sydney Novak in I Am Not Okay with This. Will Price stars as Seth Trosper, Ron's son. Price has also starred as Arthur in After the Hunt.
Lou Diamond Phillips stars as Jeff Levjman, Ron's boss. Phillips is known for his roles in Stand and Deliver, The Triangle, and Prodigal Son. Jim Downey stars as Douglas, an elderly colleague of Ron, who was also in the running to become the Project Head but wasn't selected. In the first episode of the show, Ron argues with Douglas and by mistake yanks off a small bottle of soap water used to make bubbles hanging on a thread around Douglas' neck. Jim Downey is also known for playing Sandy Irvine in One Battle After Another. Downey is more of a writer than an actor, and wrote for Saturday Night Live! for the first twenty-seven seasons.

Zuleyma Guevara stars as Brenda, one of Ron's supervisors. Guevara is also known for her performance in Alternatino and Law and Order. Glo Tavarez stars as Jamie, one of Ron's colleagues, who is seen to follow almost every command of Ron. Tavarez has also starred as Kendra in Space Cadet and Schieffer Fan in Girls5eva.
Evangeline Johns plays Doris in The Chair Company, an elderly colleague of Ron, who, according to Ron, has trouble walking. Since Doris is elderly and already has some trouble walking, Ron tries to take a video of Doris getting up from her office chair, which was also made by Tecca, hoping she would fall and he'd take a video of that. He intended to use that video to file a complaint against Tecca. Evangeline Johns is also known for her roles in American Horror Stories and The Good Half.
Joseph Tudisco stars as Mike Santini, a man who warns Ron not to look into the chair company (Tecca) and even beats him up. Just as Ron is close to getting hold of Mike before he escapes, Mike unbuttons his shirt, which allows him to slip away even when Ron grabs on to his shirt to stop him.
The Chair Company is executive produced by Tim Robinson, Zach Kanin, Andrew DeYoung, Adam McKay, Todd Schulman, and Igor Srubshchik. The show has been produced collaboratively by Hyperobject Industries, Zanin Corp, and HBO Entertainment.
The first episode of The Chair Company is streaming on HBO Max. The next seven episodes of the show will be released weekly on Sundays on HBO Max.
