Episode 3 of The Buccaneers Season 2 kicks off with a dramatic moment: Theo confronts Nan after finding out Guy spent the night with her before their wedding. Theo wants the truth. Nan quietly admits it. She also explains she needed Theo's title to protect her sister, Jinny.

The Dowager steps in, trying to calm things down. After Theo leaves, the Dowager thanks Nan for not exposing her role in forcing the marriage.

It’s been three weeks since that shocking night. Theo has vanished, and no one’s seen him at Tintagel since. Nan tells the Dowager they should cancel Lizzy’s birthday party. But the Dowager refuses. She says the world can’t know the family is falling apart. If anyone asks about Theo, they’ll say he’s away on business.

Guests start arriving for Lizzy’s birthday celebration. Koncha, Richard, and Kora are on their way to the castle. The party is themed after A Midsummer Night’s Dream in The Buccaneers, and Koncha and Kora look magical in their fairy costumes. Kora teases Koncha about finding a husband, but Koncha doesn't believe in fairy tale love.

Inside Tintagel – Nan’s emotions stir in The Buccaneers

While getting ready for the party in her fairy wings, Nan can't help but think about Guy. We see a quick glimpse of him in Italy, looking broody and distant. Meanwhile, Hector tells Nan her speech at the gala created a positive buzz and now is the perfect time to take political action. But he needs Theo’s support too. Nan doesn’t have an answer.

The Dowager unexpectedly reconnects with Reed Robinson, Hector’s father, and her old flame. Sparks fly. In Italy, Jinny struggles to buy groceries because her Italian is weak. A charming local named Paloma helps her out and quickly notices that Jinny comes from wealth, even though she tries to hide it.

That evening in episode 3 of The Buccaneers Season 2, Jinny, Paloma, and Guy try to cook dinner, but it’s a disaster. They end up laughing through a spontaneous food fight.

Back at the castle, Theo returns from his break. He tells the Dowager he’s staying but says he’ll never forgive Nan. Still, he won’t divorce her. The Dowager suggests Nan can leave, but only after giving Tintagel an heir. Theo agrees. Later, he makes a grand entrance at Lizzy’s party and shares a cold, tense dance with Nan.

Koncha, Mabel, and Henoria surprise Lizzy by blindfolding her and leading her to the magical party setup. Hector tells Nan again that the Duke’s support is crucial. Then he takes Lizzy for a walk and proposes.

She accepts, but not without hesitation. She looks like she’s thinking about Theo’s earlier words about choosing thrilling love over safe choices.

Romance and tension brews everywhere in The Buccaneers

At the party, Richard flirts with Koncha in front of Kora, making her jealous but also amused. Lizzy and Theo share a heart-to-heart where he says she deserves exciting love, not a boring marriage.

Meanwhile, in The Buccaneers, Mabel and Honoria secretly hold hands and express their gratitude for having each other. Mrs. Elmsworth watches from afar and asks Kena to help find Mabel a husband, offering to double her payment.

Reed advises the Dowager to change Nan’s mind about leaving, even if it ruins their chances of being together. The Dowager later confesses everything to Theo, and she forces Nan into the marriage after catching her with Guy. Nan had no choice if she wanted to save Jinny. Theo is heartbroken and furious. He tells his mother to leave the castle.

Later, Nan sneaks into the Dowager’s room and finds a letter with Guy and Jinny’s address in Italy. Lizzy finds Nan packing and admits Guy once wrote her a letter asking about Nan, but she burned it.

Lizzy tells Nan to go be with the one she truly loves in The Buccaneers. After that, Theo looks for Nan, unaware she’s already in a carriage headed toward Italy. She's still dressed like a fairy.
