The White Lotus Season 3 premiered on HBO Max on February 16, 2025, and featured some very popular names like Leslie Bibb, Amiee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and many more. While the show has left fans buzzing for months after its release, cast member Leslie Bibb recently shared a major scare she had on the sets of the show while filming the popular water squirt gun scene.
Leslie Bibb plays one of the three friends who go on a trip to Thailand and have chosen The White Lotus as their place of accomodation. During her recent appearance on The Seth Myers Show, the actor shared how she got a bit too much into the character when they were filming the popular water squirt gun scene.
The scene shows the three women exploring Thailand on Thai New Yera. However, the fun and excitement is short-lived, and the three women are soon seen fleeing towards safety from the streets when they are surrounded by kids and locals who drench the trio with their water squirt guns.

Leslie Bibb shared why she was scared during the filming of the water gun scene in The White Lotus Season 3
During her recent appearance on The Seth Myers Show, Leslie Bibb revealed why she was scared during the filming of the famous water squirt gun scene in The White Lotus Season 3.
Speaking about the incident, she said that they were filming around the time of the actual Thai New Year, and some of the cast members had suggested that they go to experience the real festival. However, she had decided that she wants to do things Daniel Day Lewis-style, and experience the scene for the first time between action and cut.
However, when the actress reached the set on the day of the shoot, she saw 300 people on the set waiting with water squirt guns, including several cast members of The White Lotus Season 3 too.
"We got there and it was like 300 extras, all with water guns, and it was a nightmare. I looked over and our crew members had [water guns], and they were just shooting at us, and I was like, ‘This is a nightmare.'"
Amidst all this, Bibb revealed that she really got into her character and started wondering whether the water was clean, since there was a reputation of the water in Thailand not being the cleanest.
"Then suddenly I feel like I became like my character. I was like, ‘Where is this water coming [from]?’ Because it’s not the cleanest water in Thailand. I’d be like, ‘Is that bottled?’ They’re like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, we’re all getting diarrhea. We’re all getting diarrhea. This is all going nowhere.'"
The actress revealed that she feared that the entire cast would get diarrhea after shooting this scene, since she was not convinced that the water being used for the shoot was bottled water.
Bibb also shared that since it was Carrie Coon's last day on the set of The White Lotus Season 3, the crew was being mischievous to make the day more memorable. However, none of the cast members fell sick after the shoot, despite Bibb's fear.
