A must-watch legal K-drama, Law and The City focuses on the everyday lives of lawyers. Unlike typical dramas that feature intense legal battles, this one is about lawyers trying to balance their careers, values, and personal struggles.

At the heart of the story is the Kyungmin Law Firm, where all the main characters work. The protagonists also deal with their own emotional baggage, ethical dilemmas, and professional pressure. In simple words, it's more about the people working as lawyers, than the law and how it treats people.

Since its premiere, the K-drama has seen a steady rise in viewership, going from 4.6% to 5.1% by Episode 2. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for Law and The City Episode 3, scheduled to come out on Saturday, July 12, 2025, followed by Episode 4 on Sunday, July 13.

Local viewers can watch the drama on tvN, while international fans can stream it on Disney+. The episode drops on the same day, but the time of release may differ by region.

What happened in Law and The City Episode 2: A quick recap

Law and The City Episode 2 kicks off with the farewell dinner for Dong-wook, and things soon get awkward when Hee-ji greets Ju-hyeong warmly but he pretends not to know her. She tries to remind him of their past — first in Hong Kong, then in law school — but he keeps denying it.

Later, both Hee-ji and Ju-hyeong seem affected by the encounter. At work, Hee-ji sees a desperate client and takes on his asset seizure case. When she brings it up at lunch, Ju-hyeong dismisses her efforts, calling them unrealistic.

Ju-hyeong then handles an eviction case where the father is terrified of losing his home. Meanwhile, Hee-ji discovers shady behavior from her case’s clients. Around the same time, a new court ruling says tenants behind on loans can't be kicked out, and Hee-ji uses this to help Ju-hyeong’s client behind his back.

Ju-hyeong then figures it out, and they argue over what’s right: protecting banks or protecting families. The bank later drops the case, and both reflect on each other’s views. Law and The City Episode 2 ends with a glimpse into the past, featuring Hee-ji and Ju-hyeong sharing a kiss in Hong Kong.

What to expect from Law and The City Episode 3?

In the upcoming Episode 3 of Law and The City, Hee-ji once again asks Ju-hyeong if he truly doesn’t remember anything about their past. But the lawyer, who clearly remembers everything, tells her she’s still as pretty as ever.

Fans can expect their romance to reignite, even as they clash over the cases they take on. As shown at the end of Episode 2, Kyungmin Law Firm has now merged with Johwa Law Firm, setting the stage for tougher challenges ahead.

Ms. Kim’s influence might also grow stronger, especially since she promised a steady flow of cases. We may also see how the firm handles working together under one roof and whether all lawyers are on board with it.
