Julian McMahon, known for his role in FBI: Most Wanted, reportedly passed away on July 2, 2025. The 56-year-old actor died in Florida after battling cancer. The Australian-American actor is known for his roles in procedural series like FBI and Profiler and has also appeared in other fan-favorite TV shows and films, including Charmed and a Fantastic Four movie.
Kelly McMahon, McMahon's wife, recently talked to Deadline and shared about his last days, which he spent in Clearwater, Florida, and said:
"With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer."
She further added:
"Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories."

Julian McMahon passed away at 56 after battling cancer
The son of Sir William McMahon, former Prime Minister of Australia, McMahon was born in Sydney in 1968. Julian McMahon began his acting career with several roles in daily soaps in Australia and later in the US.
He became a household name with his roles in Charmed, Will & Grace, and NBC's Profiler. Later, he appeared as Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck, which became a game-changer for him as viewers admired his performance in the FX series. While talking to Deadline, Dylan Walsh, who co-starred with McMahon in Nip/Tuck, stated:
"I’m stunned. We rode this wave together and I loved him. My heart goes out to Kelly and Maddy. Jules! I know you’d want me to say something to make you smile — all the inside jokes. All those years you had my back, and my god, we laughed. My heart is with you. Rest in peace."
His most popular role was in FBI: Most Wanted, where he portrayed SSA Jess LaCroix, who was also the team leader of the Fugitive Task Force of the FBI. Dick Wolf, the co-creator and producer of the series, talked about the shocking news with Deadline and said:
"What shocking news. All of us at Wolf Entertainment are deeply saddened by Julian’s passing and our condolences go out to his entire family."
Aside from the roles mentioned above, Julian McMahon was also popular for his role as Victor Von Doom in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and also appeared in the recent comedy-drama, The Residence, as Stephen Roos, Prime Minister of Australia.
