Ironheart Episodes 4-6 premiered on Disney+ and the explosive finale has not only brought an end to the first installment of the show but has also left the space open for upcoming MCU projects. Maintaining Marvel’s signature ritual of offering post-credit scenes, Ironheart offers the prospect of going ahead with the Strange Academy series along with a possibility of Ironheart Season 2.

The likelihood of a second season is particularly high since there are a number of unfinished storylines that could be explored in the next season. There is also a possibility that MCU might be planning to explore the young Avengers brigade as hinted at in the post-credit scenes.

Ironheart post-credit scenes sets up the prospect for upcoming MCU projects

The most obvious project that Ironheart Season 1 post-credit scenes hint at is the Strange Academy series. Based on a comic book by the same name, the project was announced a few years back. The comics follows Doctor Strange who sets up an academy for tutoring young magicians.

Featuring characters like America Chavez, the series is likely to focus on Wong. The precise reason that the possibility of Strange Academy is being discussed is that the post-credit scenes show Parker Robbins visiting Zelma and mentioning that he needs Supreme-like help, which is probably hints at the Sorcerer Supreme. Parker might just get enrolled in the Strange Academy.

However, it should be noted here that Strange Academy was already announced previously but got stalled because of Marvel’s overhaul. The report of the project being stalled was made public in February, 2025 but the post-credit scene in Ironheart does hint at the possibility of the series.

Another obvious project that the post-credit scenes hint at is the second installment of Ironheart. Since Strange Academy is very likely on hold, it would make sense that the show can be brought back for another season since there are a number of plot points to be explored.

For instance, even after the finale, Ezekiel Stane and Riri’s storyline has not been wrapped up. Moreover, there was also a twist involving Mephisto and Riri, which could be further explored in the next season.

However, it is not at all certain if the show will be renewed for the next season. There was not much marketing for this installment either and now it remains to be seen what decision Marvel takes regarding the future of the show.
