The show might be called Nobody Wants This, but it appears everybody wants more of the handsome priest, the relationship and intimacy podcaster. Both of these professions fall as far away as possible; nonetheless, the unlikely combination of Joanne and Noah works out in the most uniquely perfect way.

Netflix recently announced that the Season 2 filming, which began sometime in May, has wrapped up, and we have a release date for the Los Angeles-based rom-com. Netflix announced at the FYSEE LA Television Academy event that the second season of Nobody Wants This will premiere on October 23 this year.

Season 1 of Nobody Wants This ended on a happy note as Brody's Noah confesses his love in a parking lot after a bat mitzvah, convincing Joanne that, despite their cultural differences, he was not ready to give up on their love. However, making such proclamations and being able to follow them with conviction are two different things, and it appears Season 2 might test the stability of the conviction, as Brody explains what Season 2 might be about:

"In the light of day, will he still feel that way? I don’t know, It’s an open question. I think that’s what the show can explore, What should he do? What should she do? What version of sacrifice is worth it? What constitutes growth, or what constitutes dimming yourself to be with someone else? It’s a sacrifice, but ideally, you grow together and you’re better for it — you don’t have to [lop] off a limb," he told Netflix Tudum.

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are renewing their roles as Joanne and Noah, and to the delight of Gossip Girl fans, Kristen, who voiced the narrator, will also be joined by Leighton Meester, who played Blair Waldorf on the famous series, as Abby, Joanne's middle-school nemesis, now an Instagram mommy influencer.

They will be joined by Miles Fowler, who plays Lenny, Noah's Matzah Ballers teammate, who gets set up with Justine Lupe's Morgan. Alex Karpovsky will portray Big Noah, a rabi at Noah's temple, along with Arian Moayed as Dr. Andy, a charming, and a little bit full of himself, psychotherapist.

Finally, Justin Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, and Michael Hitchcock will be renewing their roles as Morgan, Sasha, Esther, and Henry, respectively, along with Stephanie Faracy, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh, Sherry Cola, and D'Arcy Carden as Lynne, Ilan, Bina, Ashley, and Ryan.

Nobody Wants This is created by Erin Foster, and Sara Foster is an executive producer on the project. They will also be joined by Jenni Konner, Bruce Eric Kaplan, and Nora Silver as executive producers.
