Gen V is stepping back into the chaos and this time, it's bringing some backup. The next season of the twisted superhero college series will see four familiar faces from The Boys crossing over: Cate, Sam, The Deep, and Firecracker.

With Season 1 already being chaotic, this move is turning up the heat even more. These returning characters aren't just cameos. They're characters who are involved in stirring up exciting trouble in ways that will directly impact Gen V's already volatile world.

Cate, Sam, and the rise of the “Guardians” in Gen V Season 2

Heading into Gen V's second season, two names loom large: Cate Dunlap and Sam Riordan. Last time around, they didn't just cause trouble but they flipped the entire Godolkin campus upside down. After releasing powerful Supes from the secret Woods facility and leading a deadly revolt, Cate and Sam took center stage in the mayhem.

Their radical belief in Supe superiority made them campus icons overnight but for all the wrong reasons. Instead of punishment, they were celebrated. Homelander himself stepped in, shielded them, and gave them a role to play.

Not only did he back their actions, but he also handed them a mission: help lead a pro-Supe future. By the end of The Boys Season 4, Cate and Sam were actively hunting down anti-Supe figures like Frenchie and Kimiko.

Now, in Gen V's new season, they return as more than students. They're unofficial leaders of Homelander's ideology, rebranded as the "Guardians of Godolkin." Whether Cate shows any regret or sticks to her path is yet to be seen but Sam, hardened by the torture he suffered and the loyalty he's shown, seems all in.

Expect tension, destruction, and a growing line between those who follow them and those who don't.

The Deep and Firecracker land at Godolkin

This season isn't only about rogue students. Two more members from The Boys' world are stepping back into the spotlight this time, on Gen V's turf. The Deep, long known for bending to Homelander's will, is making a more visible entrance.

After a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo in Gen V Season 1, he's expected to return in person. He's not just here to visit his old school. From what we've seen, his role now appears tied to pushing the Seven's beliefs into the next generation.

Joining him is Firecracker, a fiery new member of the Seven introduced in The Boys Season 4. She came in loud, proud, and controversial, targeting Starlight and trying to win Homelander's affection. Her extreme media presence and conservative standpoints made her a bold, dangerous addition to the Seven. Now, she's coming to Godolkin too.

Alongside The Deep, she's likely to push Homelander's propaganda harder than ever before, aiming to mold younger Supes into future followers. Together, they may act as both enforcers and influencers, blending classroom manipulation with open intimidation.

With Cate, Sam, The Deep, and Firecracker now entering the Gen V battlefield, Season 2 isn't just continuing-it's detonating. Their arrival blurs the line between student drama and national Supe agendas.

Whether Godolkin can survive this next chapter remains to be seen. But one thing's for sure: the blood hasn't even begun to spill.
