The marketing campaign for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is ramping up as the Marvel streaming series approaches its supposed March 2026 release date. Attendees of the New York Comic Con 2025 got a glimpse of the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 trailer. This trailer also provided glimpses into the antagonists appearing in the upcoming season.

However, not much is known about the upcoming season. All that we know about Born Again Season 2 is that it will follow Matt trying to bring down Wilson Fisk's oppressive Mayoral regime over New York City:

"Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin will find themselves on a collision course, as they both fight for the future of New York City."

Who are the villains appearing in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

Here are the villains we know are appearing in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, because of the trailer:

  • Wilson Fisk

Wilson Fisk will undoubtedly be the central antagonist of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The first season ended with Fisk emerging victorious as he leveraged his position as the Mayor to ban masked vigilantes and declare a curfew. His anti-vigilante task force is still patrolling the streets. Thus, Fisk is going to be at his strongest in the second season.

  • Bullseye

Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye was introduced in 2018's Daredevil Season 3. A former FBI Agent, Poindexter, became Fisk's right-hand man in the third season. However, he turned on Fisk in the season 3 finale, and Daredevil: Born Again reveals that he had been incarcerated before the season 1 premiere. He was hired by Vanessa Fisk to kill Foggy Nelson.

However, Poindexter again realizes that he was set up as a fall guy and tries to kill Fisk in the penultimate episode of the first season. He is last seen in the closing montage of the finale as Poindexter is setting up an apartment. This version of Bullseye has a dark backstory different from his comic book counterpart.

This has led many to believe that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 may feature a moment in which Matt Murdock and Benjamin Poindexter are forced to team up. Even Wilson Bethel teased this in a July 2025 ScreenRant interview:

"I don't want to spoil anything, but we literally just wrapped shooting two or three days ago. I am so incredibly proud of the work we did on this new season. I think it's legitimately going to blow people's minds. There's not too much I can say without spoiling it this season, but for fans of Bullseye and the Dex character, I get to do some things that are completely new and novel and insane and crazy. I think some of the best work I've done on Daredevil, and maybe on any show, will be out in this new season. I'm very excited for people to see it. I'm thrilled, man. It's one of the jobs that I'm most proud of in my career, so I can't wait for people to share in it."
  • Vanessa Fisk

We know that Vanessa Fisk is returning in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. Vanessa was introduced as Wilson Fisk's love interest but slowly evolved as the Kingpin’s strategic partner. She and Kingpin had marital problems in Born Again Season 1, but they overcame them by the end of the season. Vanessa Fisk actress Ayelet Zurer, teased a more united front in season 2:

"Oh, they're strong together, that's for sure. Strong together. But there are other factors coming in, so everybody's going to be affected."
  • Mr. Charles

Matthew Lillard's character, Mr. Charles, is a character that the show's writers created. We don't know much about this character, and we may learn about Mr. Charles only when the second season begins to stream early next year. Brad Winderbaum teased this character in an Entertainment Weekly interview at New York Comic Con:

"The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard's character represents that. But he's as influential, in many ways, as Fisk is. That power negotiation at a very high level of politics and international diplomacy is also fun to watch. [Fisk] is dealing with Mr. Charles up here and Daredevil [Charlie Cox] down here for different reasons. So he's getting squeezed a little bit."

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is expected to be released sometime in 2026. But we don't have a release date for the second season yet.
