The Sandman Season 2 Volume 1 was released on July 3, 2025, continuing the story of Morpheus, aka Dream, and his siblings, who form the Endless. Season 2 Volume 2 is going to be released on July 24, 2025.

The Sandman Season 2 Volume 2 teaser was released on July 7, 2025, hinting at what is going to happen in volume 2. The teaser begins with Morpheus (played by Tom Sturridge) saying,

"I spilled family blood, and now the Kindly Ones will soon demand the end of my existence as punishment for my crime."

Here, Morpheus is referring to him killing his son Orpheus as payment for him locating Destruction. While Morpheus's existence being in danger is likely going to be the focus of volume two, there's much more waiting to happen as well.

What did The Sandman Season 2 Volume 2 reveal?

The Sandman Season 2 Volume 2 teaser also reveals that the land of dreaming is also in danger due to Morpheus's actions. This is revealed when Destiny tells Dream,

"Ones's destiny is determined by one's action. The Dreaming is no longer safe."

Next, we see Morpheus say,

"The Dreaming is no longer safe."

Thus, we can tell that the next volume of The Sandman Season 2 will heavily focus on Dream trying to save his realm from the Kindly Ones and anyone else who poses a threat to it. He is gearing up for battle and so is Nuala, who is seen with a sword on a horse and also asks Dream,

"Can I build you an army?"

We also see Mervyn with a machine gun, protecting the Dream realm. What we hear a few seconds later is what one of the Furies sisters said when Morpheus visited them. We hear her say,

"Desire once swore they'd make you spill family blood."

It could be something she said to instill doubt in Morpheus about Desire, trying to indicate that Desire made him spill family blood. We won't know until volume two is released. The teaser also revealed that Loki, who is a known notorious figure, might play a role in threatening to land of the Dreaming when he tells Pak,

"And we could be the ones to set the Kindly Ones upon him."

We also see Death reminding Dream that he is capable of fighting this battle, as he has overcome harder obstacles before. This is followed by Dream summoning Corinthian, who was banished to the land of the Dreaming at the end of season one.

Corinthian was an antagonist in season 1 of The Sandman, committing crimes in the land of the Walking, but in season 2, volume 2, Dream summons him. When Dream asks Corinthian for his help, he is surprisingly agreeable and says,

"I await your command."

What remains to be seen is if Corinthian can be trusted this time. Johanna Constantine is going to join the team trying to save the land of the dreaming. The teaser shows an unknown character saying,

"Destiny's book has an ending, and so do you."

This sounds ominous and Dream's castle breaking down in the next scene doesn't help with the ominosity. The teaser ends with a scene of the land of the Dreaming heavily destroyed, and Death asking Dream,

"Are you ready?"

And we hope he is. For his sake and his realm's.

The Sandman Season 2 Volume 1 is streaming on Netflix, and Volume 2 comes out on July 24, 2025.
