Wednesday on July 2, 2025, after Diddy's bail hearing and partial verdict, a man suffered a seizure in the hallway of the Manhattan federal courthouse. The incident took place on the 26th floor of the courthouse.
Diddy’s lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, and his daughter and law partner stepped in to help the man until the EMS arrived, as reported by Page Six. Diddy was, however, denied bail, following a mixed verdict. He is found guilty on two prostitution counts but acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering.
The serious medical emergency had occurred just after Combs' bail denial, making for an intense and dramatic moment in the courthouse.
The medical emergency that occurred at the courthouse following Diddy's verdict
Yesterday, after Combs bail application was submitted, a member of the public collapsed on the ground and had a seizure. As per reports, the individual was 'repeatedly slamming his head against the marble floor' and had 'blood and vomit pouring from his mouth.'
Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, was around when the incident took place, and he helped the man by placing him in a rescue position. In a statement to The Post Thursday, he recalled the incident, by saying:
''I can’t imagine a busier five-minute period in my life, I’m going down to see Combs, everything was so intense, and my mind was on the case, and I walk out, and a man falls and is clearly seizing. It seemed pretty dire. I was worried about him.''
He then went on to explain how he had handled such situations before. He said:
''I’ve just dealt with lots of seizures. I just know exactly what to do because I’ve dealt with this before.''
Other than Marc, his daughter and lawyer, Sofia Agnifilo, also helped in stabilizing the man until the EMS arrived. Jacob Kaplan also stepped in to help the man stop hitting his head on the floor and placed a backpack underneath. The status of the unidentified man is not known.
As reported by AP News, Combs lawyers argued that Diddy is a changed man, implying that he is no longer an abusive or violent man as described during the trial. They argued in hopes that he might get a lighter sentence or possibly bail while waiting for sentencing.
The judge, Arun Subramanian, didn't agree with the defense. He signalled that although Combs was found not guilty on the very serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, he made it clear that Combs probably won't walk free anytime soon.
This is because of the surveillance footage showing Diddy hitting and shoving his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel lobby and because of other photos of injuries suffered by another former partner. These videos and photos showed a pattern of violence and abuse.
Although the jury did not convict him on all charges, it looks as though Combs may still get a harsh sentence based on his overall behavior.
