Rapper 4Xtra reportedly injured his hand in firework explosion during Fourth of July celebration

LA rapper 4Xtra burned his hand in a fireworks explosion during Fourth of July festivities. He posted a video on social media showing himself handling illegal M-80 fireworks during the celebration. According to the American Pyrotechnics Association, explosives like M-80s, Cherry Bombs, and Silver Salutes have been federally banned since 1966 due to their excessive pyrotechnic flash powder content.

In the clip, he can be heard saying

"I'm gonna blow a n***a up."

Hours after the video had been posted, No Jumper, where the rapper works as a podcaster, posted an image of the rapper's mangled hand on social media, mentioning that the

"4xtra has blown off his hand with a firework".

Adding,

"Prayers up for 4Xtra."

The rapper is yet to comment or share an update on the situation.


Who is rapper 4Xtra?

4Xtra is a rising hip-hop artist from South Los Angeles, affiliated with the Rollin' 40s Crips gang. He is known for tracks like OFF THE BACC and Who Imma Call, and has been featured on platforms such as No Jumper and Hyperfresh.

Prior to the July 4th incident, 4Xtra was arrested on April 11, 2025, just days after being released from LA County Jail.

He had previously served around six weeks in prison and was released on April 4, 2025. Before that, he had also been incarcerated briefly in late February or early March.

The rapper has been vocal about his gang affiliation, and during an interview with No Jumper in December 2023, revealed that he had joined the Rollin' 40s Crips at the age of 11. In the video, the rapper also opened up about his life in Compton and growing up in the LA gang culture, which is a focal theme in his music.
