Mother of Diddy’s daughter, Dana Tran returns to L.A. to care for sick daughter following verdict

Dana Tran, mother of Diddy's daughter, has been in Manhattan, New York, to support the father of her child during his trial. On Wednesday, she joined other family members, including Christian Combs, Janice Combs, and Chance Combs, at the Manhattan court to hear the verdict. However, after the jury announced their decision on July 2, 2025, Dana immediately booked a flight back to Los Angeles due to a family emergency.

Diddy was arrested on September 16, 2024, on five federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transportation for prostitution. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, the jury gave their verdict after eight weeks of hearing arguments and testimonies.

Following a thirteen-hour deliberation, the jury found the Bad Boy Records founder not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. They did find him guilty of transportation for prostitution of Cassie Ventura and a woman identified as “Jane” in the trial.

Diddy and Dana Tran share a child together, two-year-old Love Combs, who is Diddy’s youngest daughter. As reported by TMZ, close sources revealed that Dana rushed back to Los Angeles after hearing the Jury’s decision because little Love was suffering from a bad cold and Dana immediately returned to care for the child.

On Thursday, the mother and daughter went for a stroll, and it seemed that Love Combs was feeling much better after receiving care from her mother. Dana Tran appeared in black skin tight workout clothes while pushing Love in a stroller. The latter wore a pink dress and a pair of pink fuzzy shoes.

Who is Dana Tran?

Dana Tran is a Vietnamese-American cybersecurity professional, industrial specialist and model. She is particularly known for being the mother of Diddy’s youngest child, Love Combs.

Diddy is the father of seven children. His eldest child is Quincy Taylor Brown, whom he adopted. He has a son, Justin Combs, with Misa Hylton, born in 1993. Following Justin, Diddy has another son, Christian Combs, and then Chance Combs. He also has twins, D’Lila Star Combs and Jessie James Combs. The youngest of his children is Love Combs.

Dana Tran is known for being a proud Vietnamese. In a post shared on Instagram, Dana talks about her Vietnamese heritage and past.

“My father watched his home be taken by the oppressor and be forced to live in the chicken coop,” she wrote about her father’s painful past in the Vietnam War.

“As they danced in what was once his living room. My father still did not row up with hate in his heart. I was raised to know that children are innocent. No ifs, ands or buts,” she added.

Dana Tran once revealed that she is teaching Love about her Vietnamese roots and how to speak the language.

“It’s been so healing and fun to teach baby Love to speak Vietnamese! I’m so proud that I can speak and read it,” she wrote in a post on Instagram.
