"It’s me playing 'hide the baby bump' whole shoot!" - Rihanna jokes about ‘managing’ baby bump in new perfume campaign

Acclaimed singer Rihanna took to Instagram to share snapshots from her recent shoot for Savage X Fenty’s perfume campaign. Alongside images from the photoshoot, the pop star wrote in the caption,

“It’s me playing 'hide the baby bump' whole shoot! boutta be a cheeky summer.”

The Diamonds singer was referencing her recently announced pregnancy. During her appearance at the Met Gala earlier this year, the 37-year-old entrepreneur announced that she is pregnant. This will be the singer's third child with partner A$AP Rocky. She and the rapper are already parents to two sons.

The Fenty Beauty founder spoke to Access Hollywood after her pregnancy reveal during her Met Gala appearance, and said,

“I feel a lot better that I do not have to suck my stomach in anymore.”

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s relationship, explored

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, have known each other since 2013. As per Elle, initially, the two got close to each other as friends.

According to a report by The Sun, it was in January 2020 when rumors about the alleged couple’s relationship began floating. Rihanna had just come out of an almost three-year-long relationship with Hassan Jameel at that time. The Sun quoted an unnamed source close to the R&B singer at the time, who referenced her and A$AP Rocky and said,

“They shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York…However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan…They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days…It’s really casual between them and she’s not thinking about whether there’s a future with Rocky. She’s a newly-single girl having fun.”

On November 30 of the same year, People Magazine confirmed that the rumors speculating whether the Ocean's 8 actress and Rocky were in a relationship were indeed true. People Magazine confirmed the relationship based on claims made by an unnamed source.

Apart from the multiple media reports that quoted sources, the couple themselves never made any public confirmations until May 2021. At the time, A$AP Rocky, during an interview with GQ, referred to the We Found Love singer and said,

“It’s so much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones…I think when you know, you know. She's the One.”

As per GQ, Rocky did not provide any insight into the timeline of his relationship with the Only Girl (In the World) singer, however, he did confess that his relationship with her was a monogamous one.

In subsequent months, the couple appeared together in public for numerous events, confirming that their relationship was going strong.

In January 2022, as per Elle, Rihanna was spotted with a baby bump during a public outing with her partner in New York City. News about the singer’s pregnancy was confirmed by People Magazine. While confirming the pregnancy news, the publication quoted the singer’s views on motherhood. According to People Magazine, she told British Vogue,

The singer gave birth to her first child in May 2022. In August 2023, she and A$AP Rocky welcomed their second baby boy.
