“I try and find happy in every moment”: JoJo Siwa says she feels the need to 'fake it' when she is 'empty'

Jojo Siwa recently expressed feeling exhausted and the need to ‘fake it’.

Joelle Joanie "JoJo" Siwa has raised concerns after she recently revealed that she fakes being happy sometimes and is exhausted. The singer did an Instagram Q&A with her fans after her back-to-back shows in London. During the Q&A, a fan asked her,

"Do you ever stop and rest/take a break? Just focus on yourself for once?" to which she retorted saying she took a break "for a short time" around her birthday and mentioned her upcoming break in June.

One fan also asked her where she gets her energy from. To this, the 22-year-old replied, saying,

“I try and find happy in every moment, even when it's hard, or fake it when I am empty. Currently what’s happening hahaha.”

At one of her London shows, she also expressed her gratitude and got emotional. Addressing the crowd, Siwa said,

"London can I just say, as Joelle a very serious thank you I'm going to take my last two minutes to get a little deep with you all. I've gone through a lot of phases in my life, it's crazy what I'm about to say out loud."

Jojo Siwa continued,

"Since I was nine, I've gone through phases of my life where, at times, I have been one of the most hated people in the world. I'm not asking for sympathy, it's OK, but I've been hanging onto things that are out of my control. It was really really bad when I was 14. But, right now, personally and professionally I feel incredibly loved."

The child star further added.

"And it just, nights like this, I don't cry that often, nights like this, it just..it really hit me, and I can be up here and sing my songs and commit to the bit, but I just want you to know inside my heart is smiling. And I feel like I just feel so grateful because in my life right now, in rooms like this and at home, I feel so loved and I feel so special. I wanna take a second, and remind everybody if you're going through a hard time, I promise it gets good, just keep pushing troops.'

Jojo Siwa also opened up about her relationship with Love Island star and fellow Celebrity Big Brother alum Chris Hughes. The two have recently been spotted cozying up together after they met at the show. When asked on her IG story her 'favourite' thing about Chris, she expressed,

"Gosh lots of things, but the first thing that comes to my mind is the way he treats everyone... Strangers, friends, family, me, literally everyone. I've never seen somebody who acknowledges everyone in the room the way that he always does. Everyone gets a hello, everyone gets, how are you doing... and it's genuine. Beautiful beautiful soul he is."
