Jason (Steve Burton) has been rather reactionary on General Hospital lately. He hasn’t initiated too many things except for the time he beat the snot out of his nefarious brother, Drew (Cameron Mathison). In real life, Burton’s been quite active, including his regular comedy shows with buddy and co-star Bradford Anderson (Spinelli). He’s also helping the fans to get into shape with his fitness program and regularly sharing advice. But most of all, he often just imparts words of wisdom that speak volumes.
Just don’t give up
On Instagram, General Hospital's Burton wrote, “There’s no future in the past…just lessons. So don’t look back because that’s not where you’re going. Do not give up. Ever.” He then included some relevant quotes: “Fall seven times and stand up eight. - Japanese Proverb ❤️.” He also quoted a classic film about an underdog who finally succeeds: “It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! - Rocky.” And finally, he quoted a biblical passage that said: “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded. - 2 Chronicles 15:7.”
Along with that was a video in which Burton stressed, “Hey, listen, do not give up! Do not give up, do not throw in the towel. Do not give up in life. It's never too late. I'm just telling you now from experience, it's never too late. You have one life, don't settle, do not sweat the small stuff. You probably show up for everybody else, but now it's time to show up for you.” He then gave out info on his programs for the fans.
His words inspired the fans

Fan @jendeenn commented, “Just a great message to all,” which was extremely true. @deb.loves.paris reacted, “You are such an inspiration. I started walking 3 weeks ago. It’s hard, but was encouraged by my therapist to get out. You are keeping me going too! I am feeling a bit better and am now walking 30 minutes, up from the 10 I could do once in a while.” The General Hospital star's followers praised his words and thanked him for always giving sound advice.
And one follower, @dopey1943, wrote, “It is easy to give up. I have many times and still struggle with it, but in Steve's program, I've learned how to get that thought out of my mind. Do I falter?? Yes, but I start over the next day and don't beat myself up.”
