At Windermere, Sidwell was outside on the turret when the fire at Charlie’s was set, and told someone on the phone he saw they had completed the job. When he came inside, Alexis (with no knowledge of the fire) arrived to meet with him regarding clearances, which needed to be filed with the Harbormaster regarding the goods he was importing. Sidwell was confused, thinking Marco would be the one handling everything, but Alexis made it clear Marco works for the firm and nothing would get filed until she vetted it fully.

Sidwell was put out, feeling Alexis didn’t trust Marco to handle his business. Alexis said it was standard procedure to oversee a new associate’s clients for about six months. Having no patience to sit through Alexis’ questions, he said it was an unnecessary waste of time. She remained stalwart in her position even when he tried to say Marco was being unfairly scrutinized because of him.

Much to Sidwell’s aggravation, Alexis methodically went through the accounts one by one until she got a call from Molly about the fire. Sidwell called for the launch and looked surprised to find out Kristina may have been at Charlie’s.

After Alexis left, Sidwell was yelling at someone on the phone about not following instructions. He told them to only set the fire if the building was empty. He knew that, if Kristina was in the fire, there was going to be hell to pay.

When Kristina went to open Charlie’s Pub for the night, she quickly noticed the liquid on the floor. After Sidwell’s men threw a fireball through the window to ignite Charlie’s into flames, she attempted to put the fire out with an extinguisher.

Realizing the fire extinguisher was doing no good, Kristina began to panic and yelled for help. Marco crashed through the front door. He quickly ran to get a blanket to cover he and Kristina so they could get out the back door.

As they got outside, Dante arrived. When Dante asked what happened, she said someone tried to kill her. The paramedics finished checking Kristina and Marco out when Sonny and Jason arrived. Suspicious, Jason asked what Marco was doing there. Kristina explained how she would be dead if Marco hadn’t saved her. Not knowing what happened to his mother yet, Marco wanted to leave to get to the hotel, but Sonny told him he wasn’t going anywhere.

While they were on their way to Charlie's, Cody tried to reassure and comfort Molly, telling her not to assume the worst-case scenario had happened. The paramedic was telling Kristina and Marco they should go to the hospital to get checked out when Molly and Cody arrived.

Dante called Anna to update her about the fire and the fact that Marco saved her. Alexis arrived from Windermere. After she hugged Kristina, Sonny walked up to say she was going to be okay, to which Alexis responded, “No thanks to you.”

Marco was telling the paramedic he didn’t need to go to the hospital when Dante, now knowing about Natalia, said he needed to. Alexis questioned if he had any idea which one of his enemies had started the fire. Angered, Alexis also told Sonny, “They keep going after you and then they get one of your children instead”. She knew Kristina working for him was a bad idea, “because death and violence are all over you like a plague.” She demanded it had to stop because she would not bury another daughter.

Kristina asked Alexis to accompany her to the hospital for a checkup. Sonny and Jason surmised that they needed to talk to the manager, who had called in sick. The fire chief informed Dante that the fire was the result of arson, making Charlie’s a crime scene.

At the Quartermaines', Carly, Sasha, and Cody were watching Daisy sleep in her bassinet downstairs. When Carly asked if Sasha wanted to bring Daisy upstairs to the nursery, Sasha tried to cover her fear that something strange might be happening and said she’d rather leave her downstairs for now.

Sonny and Michael came downstairs from putting Wiley and Amelia to bed. Jason came up to tell Sonny they needed to talk. He said he had just received a call about the plane being ready, but Natalia had yet to arrive. Molly arrived with a gift after a long day in court.

Carly was still trying to find out why Natalia showed up at the chapel, but Jason wouldn’t tell her. Sonny and Michael had a heartfelt conversation about how much they loved and appreciated each other while Molly and Sasha were watching Daisy sleep.

Sasha acknowledged how hard it must have been for Molly to come see Daisy because of everything that had happened with baby Irene. As the two briefly discussed their difficult losses of Irene and Liam, Cody walked up to provide a bit of comic relief, saying he had bad news - he ate all of the sausage thingies.

Sonny walked up as Jason was finishing a call he got about the fire at Charlie’s. He and Jason quickly left. Cody asked Michael and Sasha if they knew what happened, but they didn’t know and didn’t seem to question it either. Cody was a little perplexed how everyone acted like everything was fine when Sonny and Jason disappeared like that. Carly and Sasha showed Molly pictures of the christening.

Molly got a call about a three-alarm fire at Charlie’s. When she told Michael, he briefly flashed back to being caught in the fire at Sonny’s penthouse. Cody offered to drive Molly, who was clearly distraught.

After everyone left, Michael had another flashback to the explosion and fire he was in. When talking to Sasha, he got a text to let him know Kristina was going to be okay. He said he could use a drink, but remembered he couldn’t have one after taking one of his pain pills. When Sasha said she didn’t realize he was still struggling, he said he wouldn’t call it struggling, but the doctors told him he had residual nerve damage and were hopeful he’d be pain-free soon.

He admitted it was possible he’d be dealing with pain for a long time, but said it was nothing compared to the pain he had after the fire and during his debridement. He was thankful Kristina didn’t have to go through that.

Sasha wondered what he wanted to tell her the night he called for her in the ICU. He said he wanted to tell her to take care of their daughter no matter what happened to him. Michael, again, vowed to keep all of his kids safe. He said Sonny was a great father, but there were many ways he was never going to be like him, and promised nothing like the fire was going to happen to his kids.

At Carly’s house, Lucas was cleaning up when Marco called to let him know he was on his way to see Natalia. Marco ended the call when he saw the fire at Charlie’s Pub. Josslyn walked in and they talked about Marco and the christening. As Joss was telling him about Natalia showing up at the church, Lucas got a call from Elizabeth about Natalia.

Brennan arrived after Lucas left. He wanted Joss to get a plan in motion to distract Emma from Professor Dalton. Knowing he could have just called instead of coming by the house, Joss questioned if he was hoping to run into Carly. Brennan took her to task about keeping the personal and professional separate and admonished her for commenting on her superior's personal relationships like that.

Undaunted, Joss said she understood but then asked if he’d notified his superiors he was in a relationship with the mother of one of his agents. Interrupting their conversation, Carly came in and asked what he was doing there. After Joss left, Carly told Brennan about the fire at Charlie’s, which triggered her memories of being with Michael in the ICU.

Carly got a call informing her that Kristina was okay. She was relieved but still upset because the fire triggered her in a way that caused her to shut down and overwhelm her with all of the anger and fear she had when Michael was burned. Brennan told her she was experiencing PTSD. He explained the emotional trauma she’d experienced couldn’t be processed all at once, and when something triggered a memory, it was all going to come back. He said he’d seen a lot of agents experience it and he’d actually dealt with it himself.

Carly thanked him for understanding how she felt. She also shared that she didn’t tell Josslyn because she would blame Sonny, and she would be right. Another one of Sonny’s children was almost lost.

Earlier, Keith was knocking at Natalia’s hotel room door at the Metro Court, not knowing she was passed out inside. Chase and a uniformed officer walked up as Keith walked off. Anna walked up as Chase was knocking and yelling at the door. Anna used a hotel key to enter the room where they found Natalia unresponsive and called an ambulance.

Later, when officers were sweeping Natalia’s hotel room, Chase and Anna were hypothesizing what could have happened and wondered if it was a possible suicide or possibly staged to look like one. They needed to find who Chase saw leaving the hotel room (Keith).

Before Natalia was brought in, Isaiah and Elizabeth discussed Portia. Elizabeth felt Portia had been working herself way too hard, so she was happy to hear Isaiah was covering for Portia in the ER. A little later, Isaiah walked back up to see Elizabeth looking at a picture Aiden sent her of Lucky seemingly hanging off the side of a mountain.

Then, the paramedics brought Natalia from the Metro Court to General Hospital. Isaiah came in as Elizabeth and a nurse were trying to revive her. They still hadn’t gotten her to respond after the paramedics had worked on her for eight minutes, and they’d been working on her for another. Isaiah took over compressions, but had to eventually call a time of death for Natalia.

Elizabeth, who had called Lucas, met him as he arrived. She said she tried to call Marco several times, but he hadn’t answered. Anna and Chase arrived to question what Isaiah, Elizabeth, and Lucas knew. An official cause of death could not be given until an autopsy was completed. Anna wanted it done as soon as possible, but Lucas said they couldn’t do it until Marco knew his mother had died.

Marco arrived at the hospital. Lucas didn’t get a chance to tell him what happened before Anna and Chase walked up to ask questions about his mother. Upset, he ran to her room to find she had passed away.
