Luis Guevara was a young Minor League infielder for the Baltimore Orioles. He was only 19 years old when he passed away. Not much detail has been revealed about the young baseball player's passing. But it was reported that Guevara was in a jet ski crash on Sunday (June 15, 2025), and passed away a day later on Tuesday (June 17, 2025).
The team has taken to Instagram to break the news and express their grief over Luis' passing. The official Baltimore Orioles Instagram account posted a photo with a statement from the Executive Vice President, who is also the General Manager of the team, Mike Elias. The post stated:
"The Orioles are heartbroken to share the news of the passing of minor league infielder Luis Guevara."
Elias said:
"Luis was a beloved member of our organization, and we are devastated following his tragic passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and teammates and we ask for their continued privacy during this difficult time."

Luis Guevara's journey in the Minor League
It was no secret that Luis Guevara was one of the players to watch out for in the field. He started his journey in the Minor League with the Baltimore Orioles on January 15, 2023, as a free agent. He was moved to the Dominican Summer League (DSL) Orioles Black team a few days later.
A few months later, in June 2023, Guevara was transferred to the DSL Orioles Orange. Two years later, on April 26, 2025, Luis Guevara was assigned to the Delmarva Shorebirds from DSL Orioles Orange, followed by a move to the Chesapeake Baysox in May 2025. He was assigned back to the Delmarva Shorebirds on June 5, 2025, but finally landed with the Baltimore Orioles (FCL Orioles) on June 10, 2025, just a few days before his passing.
