Who is Shiva Shobitha?

Actress Shiva Shobitha Kalaiselvan is well known for her roles on American television and off-Broadway. Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Shiva switched careers from banking to acting right before relocating to New York to pursue a career in acting.

During her stay in Malaysia, the actress took part in local stage productions, which helped her lay the foundation for her success in her acting career on Broadway in America.

She had her breakthrough role in 2018 when she was cast as Lelia on Fox's crime thriller Gotham in Season 4, Episode 16, titled "A Dark Knight: One of My Three Soups." Lelia is the head of the all-female assassin organization called Sisters of the League, which is inside the League of Shadows.

Shiva was also involved in New York theater shows, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Nathan the Wise, as well as a recurring role as Ivy in The Originals.

In an interview with The Star, she called her Gotham debut a "surreal moment."
