Sheinelle Jones, after her return to the Today show in September 2025, had to deal with a rumor that claimed she would be joining the popular reality TV show The Housewives of New York City. However, Sheinelle was quick to address and dismiss the rumor in an episode of Today With Jenna & Friends. She shared with Andy Cohen how she was receiving multiple calls because of the rumor. Andy Cohen then joked and said:

"Well, this didn't get to me. Would you ever?"

While Jones did not entertain the idea of starring on The Housewives of New York City, and dismissed the notion, her co-host, Bush Hager, said:

"You can't leave us like that!"

Jones further added:

"Relax, I'm not on this next season. Everyone's like, 'Are you really?!' Look at [Andy]. He's, like, salivating. It's just good television. Leave me alone"
