Ryan Seacrest is quite active on Instagram and often shares glimpses of his personal life with followers.
However, the American Top 40 host drew concerns from fans after a post on the platform. In one of his recent image carousel uploads, Seacrest appeared visibly frail, prompting many to share their worries. A section of users asked the TV presenter about his health, while some complimented him for his noticeably lean look.
According to the New York Post, Seacrest is reportedly doing fine, but it is not the first time he has sparked concerns among fans. During the American Idol finale in 2020, Ryan was hosting remotely when many noticed his slurred speech and visible difficulty while reading the teleprompter. At the same time, the host’s droopy eye had many believe that he suffered a stroke on-air.
The following day, Ryan Seacrest’s representative confirmed to CNN in an email that there was no reason to worry. The statement read,
“Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night. Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.”
However, Ryan Seacrest also missed the next day’s broadcast of Live with Kelly and Ryan. According to CNN, his rep maintained that the TV presenter needed rest and “took a well-deserved day off.” Seacrest eventually told The Wall Street Journal in December 2021 (via The Sun),
“It is personal, but I definitely knew that I needed to slow down….I just had burnt myself out. I was absolutely beat, and fatigued, and just wasn’t letting myself accept that. Now I do.”
According to The Sun, the American Idol host, who had a bad left knee, also tested positive for COVID-19 in October 2022. Ryan Seacrest shared via Instagram Stories (via People),
“I don't know how I avoided it for so long but unfortunately I tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago and I'm currently in quarantine. While I'm feeling the usual symptoms, I hope to make a quick recovery.”
Ryan Seacrest’s “new workout routine” is the reason behind his leaner appearance
The well-known TV presenter has always appeared fit, but his recent frail look was the topic of concern for many followers on Instagram. According to the New York Post, a source close to Ryan Seacrest has confirmed that there is “nothing to be worried about” when referring to his slimmer figure. The insider revealed that the Wheel of Fortune host is trying a “new workout routine.” The source added,
“[He has been] working out with a new trainer, Dodd Romero, combined with Pilates and yoga for the first time. That’s created a visible change.”
The insider further claimed,
“He’s also been enjoying vacation time this summer and eating lots of pasta.”
Ryan also shared a multi-image Instagram post of making pasta with Brunello Cucinelli, creative director and executive chairman of his eponymous Italian luxury brand. Seacrest captioned the post as follows:
“Little time off for a pasta making lesson with my pal @brunellocucinelli; featuring a pot that’s a monument to carbs.”
In his other post, Ryan Seacrest showed off his leaner appearance. The first image captures the TV host wearing an all-beige dress. The other pictures from the image carousel give a look at Ryan’s workout routine, a photograph is dedicated to his dog, Georgia, whose birthday he celebrated in June.
