As per a recent article by People, Rod Stewart recently shared that his split from his second wife, Rachel Hunter, was painful.
A popular actress and model from Australia, Rachel Hunter is now 51 years old and has become a yoga and meditation teacher who leads retreats around the world.
Rod Stewart was married to Rachel Hunter from the year 1990 to 1999. Shortly after the split, Stewart was linked to his current wife, Penny Lancaster. Stewart officially divorced Hunter in the year 2006 and married Lancaster in 2007. Stewart's first wife was Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984.
In an interview with The Times published on June 27, Stewart reflected on his split with Hunter.
"Rachel left me because she was too young — my sister said I should never have married her in the first place — but it tore me to shreds," he said.
As per The Mirror, Rod Stewart, who was 45 years old, exchanged vows with Rachel Hunter, who was 21 years old at the time.

It was after her mother's demise in the year 2017 that Hunter started pursuing yoga and meditation very seriously. Janeen Phillips suffered from terminal cancer, and Hunter nursed her during her last 18 months, which left a great impact on her.
“I asked her the question: What do you regret? Jareen replied, ‘I regret not being fully who I am, always worrying what will people think, what will people say’.”

After separating from rock musician Kip Winger, Rachel Hunter married Rod Stewart in Beverly Hills, California, in the year 1990. Hunter and Stewart share two children named Renee and Liam.
On May 13, 2023, she became a grandmother when Liam's partner gave birth to a boy. The newborn was named Louie Mark Roderick Stewart.
