Jessie J shares a hopeful message as she reveals new tattoo and its meaning

37-year-old singer Jessie J recently took to Instagram to debut her new tattoo, as she battles breast cancer. The artist shared an image of her tattoo, a line drawing of two fluffy clouds overlapping, with the caption,

"I got this tattoo to remind me there is always a silver lining to every cloud."

In another picture, Jessie documented the process of her getting a tattoo, noting that she wanted to commemorate filming her song, Living My Best Life. Jessie's post comes after she announced her cancer diagnosis a few days ago. Jessie J thanked her tattoo artist, calling them "talented", "kind" and thanked them for making her feel "instantly comfortable" to do it "impulsively."

In early June, Jessie took to her social media account to note that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and that it had been caught early.

On June 4, British singer Jessie J took to Instagram to note that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Jessie posted a video in which she can be heard saying,

"Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding onto the world early."

The singer revealed that she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer before she released her hit new single, No Secrets on April 25. The artist announced that she would be undergoing surgery after performing at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15. She started her announcement with the words,

"Hi, I have been going back and forth a little bit on whether to share it. I want to but there's a lot of opinions...outside...Also knowing that I want to share with my fans and the people that care about me, also I'm a sharer. I've always shared everything that I go through in my life."

She then went on to say,

"Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding onto the world early."

While talking about undergoing breast surgery, the singer revlealed that she's "getting to keep" her nipples, adding that it's a "very dramatic way to get a boob job!"

The artist at the time had revealed that she had been "in and out of tests" throughout the whole period, and added that she's still "processing it."

Despite being diagnosed with cancer, Jessie J has still been making music and energetically promoting her new single, New Secrets, which is also the lead track of her upcoming sixth studio album.
