As per a recent article by People Magazine, Neil Diamond's wife, Katie McNeil, aged 55, recently shared the couple's secret to a happy marriage. On December 11, while attending the premiere of Song Sung Blue in New York City, Kate revealed that the couple supports each other and lifts each other.

Born in 1970, Katie McNeil has a 29-year age gap with her husband, Neil Diamond. Diamond was born in 1941 and is currently 84 years old.

"As best friends, we genuinely encourage one another. We support one another, and we truly live it through good times and bad, health and illness. And I believe that's the secret," Katie told the publication on Thursday, December 11.

When McNeil was employed by Irving Azoff, Diamond's manager, in 2007, the Grammy winner first got to know his wife. McNeil persuaded her manager to allow her to work on the singer's account after growing up listening to tunes like Holly Holy, Sweet Caroline, and Forever in Blue Jeans. Over the course of a year, the two fell in love.

"Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you're the first I want to tell/ Katie & I just got engaged/ and I hope you wish us well," Diamond wrote on Twitter (now X) in September 2011 to announce their engagement. Diamond added, "I'm in love."

Over the course of a year, they fell in love, despite Katie's initial reluctance to date the Grammy winner. She told Parade in 2012,

"A part of me said, 'Don't get involved; he's a client." "There are several issues for numerous causes. However, our chemistry developed into something indisputable."

Neil, on the other hand, told The Telegraph that he was originally preoccupied with his music and had no romantic feelings for Katie. But once they started working together, he had a different perspective of Katie.

The couple, who celebrated their tenth anniversary in 2022, has endured Diamond's Parkinson's diagnosis, which he disclosed to fans in 2018 when he announced his retirement from traveling for concerts.

About Katie McNeil Diamond

Born in 1970, Katie McNeil started her career as a music producer in 1998. Numerous films and television shows, such as Tonight at the House of Blues, Stone Temple, House of Yes: Live from the House of Blues, Public Enemy: Live from the House of Blues, and more, are attributed to her.

Katie was the video producer on a documentary about the singer's life, which is how the two became together. She became Neil's manager after he initiated contact by asking her out on a date.

Despite being almost thirty years apart, Diamond and McNeil don't care. "I certainly don't feel like I'm seventy-one. I feel like I did in my 30s and 40s. The body ages. In 2012, Diamond told Parade, "The mind doesn't."

In 2007, McNeil appeared in the VH1 series Mission: Man Band, which formed a new supergroup called Sureshot with four members of previously successful bands: Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees, Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC, Rich Cronin of LFO, and Bryan Adams of Color Me Badd.

Although McNeil and Diamond do not have children together, McNeil is a "proud stepmother" to his four children from his two prior marriages to Marcia Murphey (1969–1995) and Jayne Posner (1963–1967): Jesse and Micah with Murphey, and Marjorie and Elyn with Posner. The couple also shares several pets.
