While Pitt and de Ramon have been secretive about their love life, they were first linked together a few years back. The speculations of their romance began after Ines’ separation from her ex-husband, Paul Wesley, was confirmed. According to People, a representative for the couple confirmed in September 2022 that the jewelry designer and The Vampire Diaries star have parted ways.

The rep further revealed that Ines de Ramon and Paul Wesley had been living apart for months. Based on the statement, the pair seemingly separated in April 2022 (via People).

“The decision to separate is mutual and occurred five months ago. They request privacy at this time.”

Paul Wesley, who previously dated Phoebe Tonkin, was married to Ines de Ramon for three years. According to People, the ex-couple was first linked together in June 2018, after they were photographed together following a dinner date in NYC. They later confirmed their relationship and were seen again in February, sparking wedding speculations with their matching rings.

During an appearance on the Directionally Challenged podcast in June 2019, Paul’s co-star from The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev, talked about their dynamic. She also confirmed that Wesley was married and how she loved his wife.

“We [Nina and Paul], like, we’re probably the closest. We hang out a lot. We're really good friends. I love his wife. It's so funny how time changes everything because I never thought he would be one of my best friends.”
