Bryshere Gray, best known for playing Hakeem Lyon on Fox show, Empire, is currently embroiled in legal troubles after he was charged with assault and battery in Chesapeake, Virginia. On June 13, 2025 at Homewood Suites hotel in Chesapeake, Virginia, Bryshere, allegedly got into an argument, and attacked his associate Dustin Wilkins.

Wilkins alleged that Gray charged at him from behind a vehicle during a heated dispute. The argument started after Wilkins tried to stop Gray from leaving the hotel without paying. As per court documents, and misdemeanor arrest warrant, Wilkins was quoted saying,

"As I was explaining to him that he can't just leave without paying adding you have enough problems...I am trying to save your life. He then charged towards me from around the car. Charged into me with his shoulder...and fighting me as I was recording the incident over the phone...a blunt blow into me and punching me."

A warrant was issued, and Gray served time in Jail on June 15, only to be bonded out the same day. He is scheduled for arraignment on June 18.
