Rapper Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, also known as Gunna, shared an Instagram post on December 14, in which he shared glimpses from an aircraft. In one of the photos from the carousel, the rapper wrote:
“The real flex is keeping a good heart when life keeps giving you reasons not to. When you been lied to, used, switched up on, and counted out... but you still show love. You still got loyalty in you. Still show up for people, even when nobody showed up for you. That's rare. That's powerful.”
The post further mentioned:
“Cause this world will test you, drain you, and try to turn you cold... and if you still moving with good intentions after everything you been through, you got the kind of heart they can't find twice.”

Following the post, Young Thug seemingly responded to it. Taking to his X, he wrote:
“Ni**a acting like he the victim lol.”
Young Thug and Gunna reportedly have differences. This goes back to the 2022 YSL RICO case. At the time, Kitchens took an Alfredo deal, following which he was released, but Young Thug remained behind bars. Per reports, Kitchens had previously said that they were on good terms, but Thug clarified that nothing had changed between them.
After Gunna took the plea deal, he was labelled a “snitch.” According to Hot97, Young Thug had previously released a snippet of a track in which he took a dig at Kitchens. However, when the track was officially released earlier this month, it had no mention of the jab.
What did Young Thug say about collaborating with Gunna?
Sometime in October 2025, Young Thug appeared on Adin Ross’s livestream. When asked if he and Gunna would collab again, Thug said he wasn’t sure of that. According to him:
“I don't know. As of right now, I don't think that could happen. It's just it's monotonous.”
He also said:
“I feel like that I already kind of have it. But yeah, that anything is possible. Obviously. I don't see it, but anything is possible.”
In June 2025, Kitchens sat down for an interview with Uproxx Studios’ co-founder, will.i.am. When asked what he thought made him reach the higher rungs of the ladder, Gunna said he always knew he had to achieve as an artist without knowing the level. He said it was all about believing that he could do certain things. He added:
“I'm going to be a rapper. I'm going to do music. And I believed it. So, I feel just being like a real firm believer first, you know?”
When asked how he maintained his originality, the rapper said:
“It start with being me first. Like as a kid, I always like to dress like put on clothes like that was me. I always just wanted to just do something different like and add my little flavor on it and add my little two cents to it and that's what made it mine.”
Gunna opined that nothing was “really new” these days, but one can always add their own flavor.
