Marvel Studios has just revealed a new look at Galactus in Matt Shakman's The Fantastic Four: First Steps in the latest TV spot teaser. Here's the clip for your reference:
Released only a few weeks before its theatrical release on July 25, 2025, this latest teaser shows Marvel's First Family fighting the threats from the Silver Surfer and Galactus. The clip doesn't offer any specific details about the challenges the heroes face on their journey that we haven't already seen. Still, it gives another look at Galactus to see just how big he is going to be.
Marvel Comics describes Galactus as being enormous. He can consume entire planets and suck the life out of them without any moral concerns or the fear of judgment from mortal beings. Until now, the promos for The Fantastic Four: First Steps have only given a brief idea of his size. The official teaser, released in February, showed him towering over New York City with his shadow. Yet it showed him only from the back.
Then, the final trailer, released in June, showed the heavy blue armor of Galactus. Now, the latest TV spot shows his giant foot as he walks through the city.
Based on everything we've learned so far, it's clear that Galactus is huge. However, the fans might have to wait until the film's official release to see how Ralph Ineson looks in this part. The film might also finally resolve their queries and concerns about the villain's size and its connection to the looming threat over the First Family's planet.
Matt Shakman talks about The Fantastic Four: First Steps in the latest featurette from the studio.
Matt Shakman is bringing in every inspiration he can to his Fantastic Four movie, whether that's Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, or Jack Kirby and Stan Lee's original comics. He has spoken fondly about his love for the First Family and how he developed them in his script and on set. In the latest featurette for Marvel, he shares a few details about his creative process. He says,
"I've been a huge fan of Fantastic Four since the beginning. I was a kid reading these comics, so the chance to help bring them to life was too hard to pass up. — We're gonna build this retro-future world, build real sets, real locations [for] Reed's lab, Baxter Building, [and] this incredible Times Square backlot set. We [also] built practical suits."
Marvel boss Kevin Feige further adds,
"And for the first time ever at Marvel Studios, we can make a Fantastic Four movie. Just seeing the four of them together is gonna be worth the price of submission."
Based on their words, The Fantastic Four: First Steps seems like a treat for Marvel fans who have been eagerly waiting for the First Family to be introduced to the MCU. With a stellar cast of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, and more, it seems well-suited to win their hearts.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled to be theatrically released on July 25, 2025.
