The Bold and the Beautiful Daily YAPP Recap, December 15: Legal marriages are so last year

Welcome to The Bold and the Beautiful Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful

What did we just witness on The Bold and the Beautiful? While that feels like a question we could honestly ask daily at this point, we do have to wonder about these two days of Spencer living room weddings, as opposed to Forrester living room weddings. At least Carter is there to legally officiate Forrester living room weddings. In the Spencer living room, the kids did the job. Sure, Hope and Liam have to still make it official as Beth could not legally marry them, but now so do Katie and Bill. They had Will say a few words and then married themselves in a weird little impromptu ceremony that honestly meant absolutely nothing. It was as real as any other couple on soaps who have said their own vows and declared themselves married on any other soap through the years, which is to say, not real at all. So, Katie and Bill did not actually get married today, and we are not quite sure how Hope and Liam handled things. Did they rush off to a judge after the reception? Did they marry with a judge before Beth officiated? Will they see a judge tomorrow? And Katie and Bill? Well, he is about to gift his bride her own fashion house as a wedding present when they are not actually married. But as we said, legal weddings are so passe.
