What to Expect on The Bold and the Beautiful

On Wednesday's all-new episode, Katie (Heather Tom) faced increased levels of disrespect from Forrester Creations. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) were prepared to go all-in on the new crisis PR team for future projects, leaving much speculation about Katie's role within the company. Brooke briefly lobbied for her sister, but when confronted about it face-to-face, she ultimately sided with Ridge, continuing the recent trend of being unable to speak out against him.
Thursday's episode will dive deeper into this as Katie reveals to Bill (Don Diamont) and Will (Crew Morrow) what is really holding her back. On paper, it makes sense for her to leave Forrester and focus on the new fashion house her new husband has gifted her. However, it's likely that she's afraid of causing a rift between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and herself. They've come a long way to achieve this current level of peace, so defecting from Forrester to work at a company owned by Bill could open old wounds. Regardless, Katie faces a monumental decision.
Opening up to Will and Bill about her feelings is the beginning of the end for Katie at Forrester. In fact, it's likely to be the thing that causes Will to follow suit and relocate his talents somewhere else. Bill's goal is to remove his wife and son from Forrester to a place where he believes they'll be properly treated, and Katie's current treatment is helping his agenda in a massive way.
The prodigal son returns

A significant talking point from Tuesday's episode was Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) confiding to her mother, Taylor (Rebecca Budig), that she wants Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) to return to Forrester. Thomas was previously the lead designer on the Hope for the Future line, and with the line being revived, there's no time like the present. On Thursday, Steffy gets what she wished for as Thomas surprises her with a return to the family company. His comeback is an instant paradigm shift for the fashion juggernaut, and nothing will be the same.
Not only could Thomas's return have immediate ramifications for Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam's (Scott Clifton) new marriage, but it also leaves a massive question mark about how to move forward with Deke (Harrison Cone). On Thursday, Deke expresses concern for his future at Forrester to Hope. Thomas is the son of both CEO's at the company, so he doesn't have to work too hard to slide back into the lead design position. This is especially concerning because although Hope and Thomas have electric chemistry, she just recommitted herself to Liam. Thomas was the catalyst in their previous divorce, so this won't go over well.
Katie's new fashion house could serve as the home to several Forrester defectors if things continue on their current trajectory. It's conceivable that Hope may join her aunt and husband at Spencer and bring her flegedling designer brother along for the ride. Ridge and Eric (John McCook) recently recalled the golden days when Sally Spectra tried to steal their designs and beat them in fashion showdowns, and it appears a new fashion feud is on the horizon.
