Lu furiously questioned why Shin decided to leave Heisuke behind, while the esper explained that he chose to trust in him, similar to how Sakamoto had trusted Shin before.

Having seen the tireless efforts Heisuke put into growing stronger, Shin thought of him and asked him not to die. In the battle, Heisuke immediately recognized Kumanomi as the magnet lady who had killed Hyo. While she tried leaping past him to chase after Sakamoto, Heisuke shot a bullet to stop her.

After dodging it, Kumanomi launched a nearby car at Heisuke, expressing that she felt sorry that Hyo had wasted his life to save him. Though suffering minor injuries, Heisuke shot a bullet that deflected off the car’s wheel and shattered Kumanomi’s earring. He then boldly stated that Hyo had not wasted his life.

Nevertheless, the bullets failed to cause damage, and the masked fighter shared his philosophy of taking all his opponent’s hits and then bringing them into submission. He continued his onslaught and landed a powerful punch on Heisuke. Just as the boy started to despair over his bulletproof enemy, Kumanomi joined in and threw objects from the street at him.

After desperately moving out of the way yet again, Heisuke forced himself to refocus, remembering that he had been entrusted with his mission by Shin. After taking a moment to think about Hyo and Sakamoto, he chose to protect his friends and shot a bullet at the gasoline, setting the masked assassin on fire.
