One Piece, by Eiichiro Oda, is one of the most popular manga ever created, boasting a highly dedicated fan base. The recent set of chapters has been among the series’ most exciting, with the stakes in the Elbaph Arc heightening by the second. As a result, readers will want to keep up with new installments as soon as they come out.

Therefore, the manga will not be going on break and will continue its weekly schedule with chapters released on Mondays. However, time zone differences will convert this to a June 1, 2025, release for most other regions. The global release timings for this episode are 8:00 am PT, 11:00 am ET, 4:00 pm BST, 5:00 pm CT, and 8:30 pm IST.

What to expect from One Piece chapter 1150 (speculative)?

One Piece chapter 1150 will likely be a rare occurrence where fans get to witness the powers of the main antagonist, Imu. They have already discovered how this villain can take over the bodies of others, as they have just done with Gunko. Therefore, the new installment may further showcase the frightening powers held by this authoritarian entity.

Additionally, since Imu expressed that the Holy Land was being destroyed at that very moment, the Revolutionaries or some other party may have begun an attack against the Celestial Dragons. Chapter 1150 may give a glimpse of this, as well as the reason why Shamrock was summoned back.

Finally, though Scopper Gaban was beaten, he is most probably not dead, especially since Chopper went after him. Fans will be hoping to see him alive and well enough to return to the battle. With several possible events that may happen, as well as Brook and Gunko’s past looming around the corner, there is no doubt that the coming series of chapters in One Piece will be immensely informative and thrilling.

One Piece chapter 1149 recap

One Piece chapter 1149, titled “One Second," is both exhilarating and tragic, featuring Scopper Gaban joining the main cast’s resistance against the God’s Knights. It picks up from the previous installment, where Robin put up a valiant fight but was about to be beaten by Saint Sommers.

Chapter 1149 shows Gaban intervening as he slashes the antagonist with his axe. Shocked at the appearance of the Mountain-Eater, Sommers tried to desperately guard himself using his vines, but to no avail. Gaban swiftly ended the battle by slicing Sommers in half using a move called Axe Symphony.

He left quickly to save his son, Colon, leaving the Straw Hats at the scene in disbelief. Chopper chased after Gaban to find out how to beat an immortal opponent. The scene then shifted to Saint Kilingham, who had successfully burned Elbaph’s school and library, causing the giants and Robin to be helplessly woeful.

Ronja, who was still being threatened by Gunko, felt guilty and apologized for being alive, though the giants quickly responded that it was no fault of hers. Gaban finally arrived near the kidnapped giants’ children, running to confront Gunko and explaining that they had no right to snatch the culture, history, children, and troops of the giants.

Gunko recognized her opponent was Scopper Gaban and tried blackmailing him using the lives of the hostages. This did not make Gaban hesitate as he rapidly ran towards her. Unfortunately, the children of the giants nearby, including Colon, recognized Ya-san approaching. Though Gaban was hoping for Colon to not speak up, his son was too excited and rejoiced that his father had come to save them.

Gunko took advantage of this opportunity and pointed a sword at Colon, threatening Gaban yet again. Though the Left Hand of the Pirate King had not given up and was preparing for a final attack, he saw a vision of the future where his beloved son was pierced by Gunko. Left with no choice, Gaban tearfully yielded.

Gunko then pierced him using her Arrow-Arrow fruit, causing him to fall from the tree as he apologized to both Elbaph and Colon. As Colon cried out to his father, Gunko suddenly began experiencing an unfamiliar memory—one in which a mysterious individual declared his desire to become a pirate, laughing with a familiar “Yo Ho Ho," the same as Brook.

However, the short moment where Gunko doubted her connection to Brook did not last too long, as Imu’s voice was heard on Elbaph. The World Government’s ruler explained that the Holy Land was a sea of fire and that they needed greater numbers. Wishing to end the battle soon, Imu took over Gunko’s body using the Dominance of God.
