Lord of the Mysteries is a fantasy story of a world filled with magic, gods, and revelations. It is set in a time when the ability for people to gain powers from drinking potions exists. These powers come from many places and challenges of their own. The tale is filled with a variety of captivating characters. Some are heroes; others are strange or dangerous.
Here are five important characters from Lord of the Mysteries that every fan should know.
List of the Lord of the Mysteries characters
1. Klein Moretti

Klein is the main character in Lord of the Mysteries. At first, he is a normal man named Zhou Mingrui. Then he wakes up in a new world, in someone else’s body in Tingen. Now called Klein Moretti, he starts to explore the world and its hidden powers.
In Lord of the Mysteries, Klein is funny and moves with extreme caution. He took on the role of a Powerful Entity and created the Tarot Club, which consisted of him, Audrey Hall, and Alger Wilson initially. The club consisted of people from different paths gathering to help each other. Over time, Klein becomes one of the most important people in the story.
2. Amon

Amon is one of the most mysterious and dangerous characters in Lord of the Mysteries. “He” is a powerful Beyonder who wears a monocle and has a calm but creepy smile. “He” is known by many names, like Mr. Error, Angel of Time, and God of Deceit. Amon was born by the Ancient Sun God and, as such, was already very powerful from birth.
In Lord of the Mysteries, Amon becomes a major threat to Klein and others. “He” was born as a Sequence 1 Beyonder with the Error Uniqueness and a Mythical Creature. This already gave “Him” access to a lot of abilities, like immortality, enhanced strength, speed, and intelligence, to name a few. “His” actions are hard to predict, and “His” strength is terrifying. Amon plays a big role in the deeper parts of the story and is key to many of the mysteries that unfold.
3. Arrodes

Lord of the Mysteries has many strange items, but Arrodes is one of the most memorable. It is a magical mirror that can talk, answer questions, and even punish people with lightning if they lie or refuse to answer in return. In Lord of the Mysteries, Arrodes becomes very loyal to Klein. From the moment they met, Arrodes took a liking to Klein. It starts calling Klein things like “Ruler above the spirit world.”
While it speaks respectfully, Arrodes also has an intriguing side. It asks awkward questions or requests a task to be completed by anyone who uses it, which is part of its magical rules. But Klein is one of the few people Arrodes truly respects and even fears losing. Despite its weird habits, Arrodes is a powerful and helpful guide, especially when dealing with things most people shouldn’t know.
4. Audrey Hall

Audrey is one of the first members of Klein’s Tarot Club in Lord of the Mysteries. She is a young noblewoman from Backlund who becomes a Beyonder of the Visionary Pathway. Audrey is the only daughter of a rich and respected noble family. Growing up in luxury didn’t make her shallow. Instead, she became aware of the struggles of the lower class and pushed for change.
As the story goes on, she becomes more confident and powerful. In Lord of the Mysteries, Audrey works hard to use her powers for good. As a Beyonder on the Visionary pathway, Audrey gains the power to understand people deeply. She learns to treat mental distress and often helps others who carry heavy burdens. Even after seeing the darkness in people’s minds, Audrey remains kind. She also joins efforts to stop evil and protect the innocent.
5. Azik Eggers

Azik first appears as a quiet professor at Klein’s old university, but there's much more to “Him” than meets the eye. Azik is kind, calm, and always willing to help. “He” supports Klein many times throughout the story, often appearing when least expected. Despite losing most of “His” memories, “He” remains patient and thoughtful. In truth, Azik is an ancient being who lived through many centuries, even ruling the Balam Empire long ago.
As the story of Lord of the Mysteries unfolds, readers learn that Azik is the son of Death itself. In the past, “He” was a cold and feared figure known as the Death Consul. After “His” soul was split in two, “He” began a cycle of rebirth, waking up every sixty years without memories. During each cycle, “He” tries to find “His” true self again.
