In the vast world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, where each part is introduced as a new JoJo, there is one protagonist who stands out. In JOJOLands, we introduced a 15-year-old boy who lives in Hawaii. As JoJo's Bizarre Adventure regains popularity, fans have been wondering who Jodio Joestar is.

Jodio Joestar is the protagonist of the ninth part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise. Interestingly, he shares his lineage with Joseph Joestar, therefore, he is part of the Joestar family. Jodio is also the cousin of Yoshikage Kira from JoJolion. The creator has used these small Easter eggs as a callback to the previous parts of the series.

In this story, Jodio is shown to be an intense character due to his strong fighting spirit and his tendency to act impulsively. He has a peculiar trait; Jodio would often test people's passion, and he would do it by initially showing aggression towards them, but would eventually become more agreeable after seeing their response.

Since he entered the story, it was clear that Jodio isn’t a traditional hero in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He has been diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder. This means that his character lacks empathy, is impulsive, and doesn't care much about what society thinks of him.

This brings to the point that Jodio is not afraid to use violence, and he doesn’t hesitate when it comes to breaking the law. In the very first chapter, he brutally attacks two corrupt police officers harassing his brother, not out of justice, but out of rage and instinct. He’s cold, calculated, and unapologetically driven by one goal: to get rich.

What makes Jodio stand out is his self-awareness; he knows what he is and doesn’t care about the consequences. He has never even pretended to be something he is not, and this personality trait caught readers' attention. In his eyes, if you do favors for people, they’ll trust you. If people trust you, they’ll help you. And if they help you, you get power. To Jodio, this is the only law that matters.

Similar to other JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters, even Jodio has a stand. It is an eerie, non-humanoid figure with long tendrils and no legs called November Rain. This stand grants him the ability to cause rain.

While this may sound like a simple power-up, the raindrops are heavy. They can slam into targets with crushing force. Though we’re only scratching the surface of its full potential, November Rain is already proving to be one of the more creatively dangerous Stands in the franchise.

How is Jodio Joestar different from previous protagonists in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure?

Where Jodio really stands out is in how Araki plays with the idea of morality. Past JoJos like Jonathan or Josuke were clearly heroic. Even Giorno, who joined the mafia, had noble ambitions. Jodio is unlike any other, as he is focused on getting money and becoming rich.

At no point in the story has he shown interest in doing the right thing; he robs, attacks, and manipulates because he wants to live a comfortable life and take care of his mom.

Yet he still has the Joestar blood. Because of the way his character is written, Jodio is one of the most modern and relatable JoJos.He’s not chasing honor. He’s chasing opportunity. And for better or worse, that makes him one of Araki’s most fascinating protagonists yet.

Finally, this part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure portrays the genius of Araki’s storytelling style as it is intentionally unpredictable, stylish, and full of layered intent.

In conclusion, Jodio Joestar is the protagonist of JOJOLands, which is considered to be the ninth installment of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Jodio Joestar isn’t just a new face in the Joestar bloodline, he’s a reinvention of what a JoJo can be. Fans see his character as a new era for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
