Gachiakuta Episode 24 drops this Sunday as Studio Bones wraps up Rudo's first journey through the Ground. Episode 23 had us guessing - Hyo found Noerde’s body; Zodyl is actively looking for the creator of the choker; and some creepy red-headed guy is leading a new faction. So much for the series ending. The season finale (Gachiakuta Episode 24) airs on December 21, 2025, at 7:30 AM PT and 10:30 AM ET exclusively on Crunchyroll. Unlike standard episodes, Gachiakuta Episode 24 runs approximately 46 minutes, doubling the usual runtime. This extended format signals Studio Bones is delivering a proper sendoff before the inevitable wait for Season 2.Remlin drew a weird spell on Zanka (Image Source: Studio Bones)Gachiakuta Episode 24 will stream exclusively for most overseas areas on Crunchyroll. But if you're in Japan, you can check out CBC, TBS, BS Nippon TV, and ATX; plus, you'll be able to stream it on Netflix Japan and dAnime Store as well. All of that will be available for everyone at 4:00 PM GMT and 12:00 AM JST (December 22).What to Expect from Gachiakuta Episode 24?The season finale will likely conclude the Trash Storm Arc that has dominated the second cour. Major confrontations between key characters should reach their climax in this episode.Zanka promises to get even stronger (Image Source: Studio Bones)Zodyl's plans for the Watchman Series will most likely be revealed in Gachiakuta Episode 24, since Zodyl's desire to reach the Sphere has been one of the most important themes of the entire story, and an answer needs to be provided, or at least hinted at, about whether it will be explored in future seasons. The adaptation for each episode generally uses every three to four chapters from the manga as source material, for example - Episode 21 adapted all parts of the manga book to Chapter 76 and Gachiakuta Episode 24 is expected to adapt the next chapters up to Chapter 85, which means when the first season ends it will end at a very early point of the Heritage Mural Arc.What Happened in Gachiakuta Episode 23?Episode 23 was the calm after the storm, with a lot of action in the previous episode. After the Cleaners fight with the huge Trash Beast at the Border, they went back to their headquarters to regroup.Bundus joins the first-stringer in the Raiders (Image Source: Studio Bones)We finally got to see Zanka's character develop, even though he lost to Jabber. He discovered that Remlin had drawn an incorrect spell on him as a prank, giving him an inflatable arm instead of damage reduction. Rather than blame others, Zanka accepted his weakness and vowed to become stronger through training.Rudo attempted to smile normally around Zanka but failed spectacularly. He made it really awkward because of how he showed it, even though he was just trying to be nice. This shows that Rudo is still struggling with understanding basic human feelings.Zodyl declared his experiment successful despite losing Noerde and two Raiders. Zodyl had only one main goal for this experiment: He wanted to find out whether it was possible to get over the Border using a Trash Beast. He already has another enhanced beast ready for the next attempt. The Raiders came across fresh instructions regarding the origins of chokers. The chokers were produced by the Giver, and it was possible that tracking this individual down would provide information regarding their other Watchman Series products. Bundus has been promoted to the main Raider group. Along with a rare seal, he joins forces with Jabber, Cthoni, and the rest of the elite Raiders. The last episode gave us two surprises. Hyo was shown to be standing over Noerde's corpse, which demonstrates that the defeated Raider must've survived the Watchman fight. It also introduced a brand new group led by a powerful woman with red hair, and this shows that there are more powerful forces at play in The Pit besides just the normal factions.Gachiakuta Episode 24 is here just before Christmas, so there's a lot of stuff for fans to talk about while they’re off for the holidays. Teaming up with Studio Bones & their track record of producing amazing adaptations, along with the huge success of the manga, has fans looking forward to having a season one finale that’s going to be epic.
