What to expect from Blue Lock chapter 305 (speculative)?

Blue Lock chapter 305, titled “×23”, will most likely focus on the 23 finalists from the Neo Egoist League who have been chosen for the U-20 World Cup. The next installment can go one of two routes.

The first would be an extensive showcase of the training assignments received by the entire remaining cast, as each character tries to strengthen their ego. However, featuring all 23 players would not make for a very engaging chapter.

The more probable outcome will be a timeskip, where the participants return to Project Blue Lock after the two-week break. With each of them having practiced in mysterious ways, Ego could begin another training program or selection exam to choose the starting lineup for the World Cup.

Blue Lock chapter 304 recap

Blue Lock chapter 304 takes a step back from the general intensity of the manga, displaying the cast taking a well-earned break before the U-20 World Cup. The chapter primarily revolves around Isagi, as he returns home and enjoys Tonkatsu prepared by his mother.

As his family sat together at the dining table, Isagi's father, Issei, and mother, Iyo, congratulated him for his accomplishments. While sharing a casual conversation, Isagi expressed that the players were given two weeks off since there was still time before the World Cup.

Issei exhibited happiness at his son's popularity, salary, and skills, while Iyo praised him for achieving his goal of reaching the top of the project. Just as Isagi was basking in his own happiness, his father started playfully teasing him by mimicking the dialogue the protagonist used during his matches.

While enjoying their time together, a parcel was delivered to Isagi, containing DVDs, a plane ticket, and a letter from Ego. The protagonist discovered that he couldn't completely take time off as Ego had assigned homework to evolve him further.

After Issei and Iyo were convinced by Isagi of Ego's personality and dedication towards Japanese football, they expressed their full support towards their son, telling him that he could return home no matter how much he changed due to his obstacles.

Touched by their love, Isagi thanked them and left to review the material sent by Ego. As he played the DVD, he initially believed it to be a technique to shoot. However, while watching more of the compilation, Isagi discovered various highlights ranging from blocking to passing.

He figured that Ego wanted him to learn about game-changing moments that could create the scent of a goal and inspire the entire field. With a whole new world of football unfolding before him, Isagi resolved to reach Jinpachi Ego's level of intellect.

Chapter 304 ends with Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami receiving similar assignments designed to unlock their next level. A timer reveals that 45 days remain until the U-20 World Cup.
